Perhaps you’ve seen me advertise car rentals in Hawaii for as low as $108/week in my Google and Yahoo pay-per-click ads as well as in the title of my Hawaii car rental website. Actually, I’ve done some checking and have pulled up rates from Enterprise for even less – $104.99/week.

As one example, a few minutes ago (on 12/20/09) I checked rates using my mainland Discount Car Rentals website for: Honolulu Airport (HNL), for JAN 21, 2010 to JAN 28, 2010. The Economy Car was listed at $104.99/week ($150.14 including taxes and fees). It should have been around $144/wk (+tax & fees).

Here’s how: When you get to the website link above, click the Enterprise car rental logo, which will take you to Enterprise’s reservations page – fill it in and check some sample rates . Please note that with this special link, rates change all the time based on supply and demand. So keep checking various dates and islands and you’re bound to find great Hawaii rental car rates.

    Hello PENGUIN 46-76,

In 2010, I’ve been told by my Avis and Budget rep that they will have no surcharge for spouse as second driver. Thrifty is still working on the details but tells me they expect there will be no charge for second driver, but they are eliminating the waiver for age 21-24, but might reduce the $27/day surcharge by $10 if the car is rented through my website. With Dollar, they haven’t told me yet, but if they did have no surcharge for second driver, you would need a coupon, which isn’t out yet for 2010. Enterprise has not let me know yet for 2010.
