How do I rent a car? What if I just want an estimate?

To reserve a car, or just get an estimate of the total cost of a rental car, make sure you're on our Rates Page and looking in one of the three rate seasons - Low Season, High Season and Peak Season. To reserve or to simply check availability and rates (including all taxes and fees), click on one of the 5 RESERVE NOW, Check TOTAL Cost buttons. Each of these links takes you directly to the actual reservations page for Avis, Budget, Dollar, Thrifty and Enterprise. All our rates and bonuses are built into each rental company link. So you don't need to do anything extra to get them.

Major National Brands: Avis, Budget, Dollar, Thrifty and Enterprise

We represent 5 Major National Brand rental car companies:
Our discount rates for each company are located directly under each company logo above. As you can see above, Major National Brands Avis, Budget, Dollar (#3), Thrifty (#4), and Enterprise are the companies we represent. Because of our contractual obligations and agreements withDollar and Thrifty, we are not allowed to show thir brand names or company logos on our home page or rates page or any page that mentions their rates.

Because of our corporate agreements with Avis, Budget, Dollar, Thrifty and Enterprise.

we are able to offer various bonuses to entice you to rent their cars through us. Besides the discounted rates, these bonuses are usually additional drivers at no added charge and reduced surcharge for young drivers.

Season Dates

Rental car rates are offered within three season goups - Low Season, High Season, and Peak Season.

Each season encompasses one or more travel season dates. In previous years all the companies followed the exact same dating structure within each "season." However, due to the economic times as well as competition strategies, the car rental companies have been more inclined to include multiple calendar dates within each season.

Rental Car Selections

Various vehicle types and sizes are offered by the car rental companies
The car selections are in the far left column under the Car Selections graphics button. These are the types of vehicles offered by each company. Each company has a similar car rental fleet in Hawaii. On the left are the various types of vehicles and sizes that are offered by the automobile rental companies that we represent. To the right of each vehicle type are the corporate discount "base rates" that we offer from each company. These base rates do not include taxes and fees because taxes and fees vary significantly depending on the location you rent from.

Base Rates - What are they?

Under the Base Rates columns are the base rates offered by each company for the various season dates. Base rates do not include any taxes or fees, which vary by island and rental pickup location, so not all scenarios can be listed. To get a TOTAL rate (including taxes and fees), you will need to click on one of the RESERVE NOW links under the various car rental company columns and fill in a short form. You will be gives the total price including taxes andf fees, but are under no obligation to reserve.

Taxes and Fees - How much are they and why aren't they included in the rate columns?

We don't usually stae the taxes and fees in the rates column. It is too complicated to list all total rate scenarios for all locations because different taxes and fees apply to each. To get a TOTAL rate (including taxes and fees), you will need to click on one of the RESERVE NOW buttons on our Rates Page and fill in a short form. You will be given the total price including taxes and fees, but are under no obligation to reserve. For more details on what is added to the base rate, check out our "Fees, Surcharges and Taxes on Hawaii Car Rentals" page. To save up to 22% ($48/week or more) on your rental car total cost, check out our "Save up to 22% by Renting from Non-Airport Locations" page.
