If you're renting for a couple days or more, you'll need a place to park it overnight. Sometimes there is limited parking at or near the pier, on the street, or at a nearby shopping center parking lot. Please note that you may get a ticket if you park your rental car overnight in a shopping center parking lot. 

Your best choices for overnight cruise ship car rentals parking are: 

• When you pick up your car, ask the rental agent about cruise ship car rental overnight parking locations and options. They may even allow you to park in their lot overnight. 

• It may be easiest to rent a car every day and take a courtesy pickup vehicles to and from the ship every day. After all, you're never in port long enough to get a weekly rental rate, so it won't cost you any more and the parking is free, right? But you would need to take the courtesy pickup vehicles back and forth to pickup and drop off the car. And, you would also need to make separate reservations for each day.

• Another option is to pay to park overnight right at the airport and have the rental company courtesy pickup vehicles take you back to the cruise ship. Then in the morning, take the courtesy pickup vehicles back to the airport to get your rental car. But then again, why pay for parking at the airport when you could just as easily turn the car in even day. You would need to make separate reservations for each day. Make sure you ask the rental agent about courtesy pickup vehicles times. And also be sure the airport is a location that even sends courtesy pickup vehicles to ports. Some courtesy pickup vehicles only come from in-town non-airport locations.
