Aloha to all Hawaiian Island Visitors!
Who is www.HawaiiCarRentals.net? Aloha!
My name is Steve Parquet and I'm the owner of www.HawaiiCarRentals.net. I'm
an authorized wholesale car rental vendor for Avis, Budget, Dollar,
Thrifty and Enterprise car rentals in Hawaii. I started renting cars for
these companies in 2003. Now it's the middle of 2009 and I'm
pleased to say my web
site rents out well over 1,000 cars per month for these companies
on the
islands of Oahu, Maui, Kauai and the Big Island of
Hawaii. We no longer rent cars on Molokai. Avis
and Dollar ceased operations there due to economic conditions.
I'm in the process of negotiating and becoming affiliated with
another company for that island. It must seem pretty weird coming across web sites like mine and wondering if
it's legit or not. You may also wonder if you're going to have a
problem when you get to Hawaii to pick up your car. Please be
assured that when you book a car through my web site (by
clicking one of the Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise and Thrifty
car rental company links), you're actually booking
your car directly
with Avis, Budget, Dollar,
Thrifty or Enterprise on their actual reservations web page. You are not reserving a car with me, but when you
reserve a car "through" this website by clicking one
of the car rental company weblinks, you are
entitled to get the discounts and waivers offered on this
website. See below for more
details. You
may ask yourself, "Why should I go through your website if
all you're going to do is redirect me to the car rental company
websites in the end anyway?" What you should know is my
website has a special "Hawaii Only" arrangement with Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise and Thrifty.
In exchange for my website promoting their cars on the Hawaiian
Islands, using my marketing expertise and of course my own
money, they give me special rates and waivers that I pass on to
my website customers. They rent out more cars that way. In exchange for my website getting cars
rented for them, they pay me a commission for every
car rented through this website. Please compare the
difference in rates by going to any of the car rental company
reservations page, check a rate, then go back, remove the promo
code, and check the rate again. Almost every single time, using
my promo code will give you a much better rate. I quite often
see my rates 60% less when reserving using one of my weblinks. Each
car rental company provides me with a special link that
when clicked on, takes you to each of their reservations
pages. For
example, with Thrifty, http://www.thrifty.com
is Thrifty's main website reservations page. My corporate discounted link
for Thrifty looks like this: http://hawaiicarrentals.thrifty.com.
Clicking on my link takes you to the same place. There
are special numbers embedded within the inks that the car rental
companies provide to me. These
special numbers tell the car rental
companies that, depending on the company, you are entitled to the prenegotiated special Hawaii
car rental rates and its related waivers; like no charge for additional driver,
spouse drives free, domestic partner drives free, age 21-24 surcharge
discount or waiver, grace periods, etc. It also
tells them that the reservation came from my web site. That way,
you get the discounts and waivers, I get the credit for the car you rent in the form of a
commission, they rent out more cars. Everyone wins! Yes,
Absolutely. And there is no charge or cancellation fee either.
Once you make a reservation on one of the car rental company
websites, you should print out your reservation because it
contains your reservation details as well as your reservation
confirmation number. Avis, Budget, Dollar, Thrifty or Enterprise will also email you your reservation
information. In other words, your reservation confirmation comes
directly from the car rental company, not from me. It's their
confirmation number, not one of mine. Later, if your Hawaii
travel plans change, you can go back and modify or cancel your reservation through
the car company website that you originally reserved from.
If you want to change or cancel your reservation, all you
usually need
is the same information you gave when you made your
original reservation: Name, email, phone number, and sometimes
your reservation confirmation number. If you don't know your
reservation confirmation number, the quickest way to get it is
to simple fill in my contact form and ask me for it. I can track
it down via one of the car company reps. You could also try
calling the car rental company directly. The rates on my web site are usually fixed all year long and do not change from day to day. If you go directly to the car company websites (without using one of discount my links to them), you may notice the rates may change every day and even or usually be much higher than what is listed on my website. These rate fluctuations are governed by the time of year, demand and availability of car inventory. The rates I list on my web site are not always lower than their posted daily rates every single time, but my rates seem to almost always be better rates, oftentimes much much cheaper rates. The best example I've seen so far was $140 per week by booking a car from my website, but $320 per week booking the same exact car on the car rental company website. Almost every single time I've checked, the rates listed on my website are lower than the rates listed on the actual car rental company websites. That's one reason why when you go to their web site you get one rate, and when clicking from my web site to get to their website you get another rate. The car rental companies go by fluctuating rate strategy. That's why on one day you get one rate and if you go back the next day, or the next week, or a month later and check the rates on the same exact car, the rate may have changed. On my website, the posted rates stay the same all year, unless the car companies I represent decide to make some small rate modification a few dollars one way or another to compete with the others. But when they do that, it's usually in your favor.
What If I Want More Proof Because This Sounds Too Good To Be True? You're welcome to contact

What Else Do You Do? I own a few Kauai vacation rental advertising web sites.
I also own Discount Car Rentals International, which is set up to rent cars worldwide, but especially in the US and Canada. It has especially good Florida car rental rates.
I lived in Poipu Beach, Kauai from December of 1999 until December of 2005, when I moved to Sedona, Arizona. As you may know, the weather sure isn't the same as living in the tropics. Nevertheless, I sure do enjoy the high desert weather, especially the dramatic thunder and lightning storms in the late summer.
During my time on Kauai, I photographed a couple hundred vacation rentals for private owners and property management companies. You can see samples of some of my work on my photography web site: Kauai Vacation Rental Photography. I've photographed homes on Kauai as well as in Malibu and Pacific Palisades, California. Click here for samples of my photography.
Have fun while visiting the islands!
